Eugene "Honeybear" Sedric (St. Louis, Missouri, June 17, 1907 - New York, April 3, 1963) was an American saxophonist and clarinetist traditional jazz.
He began his career in the riverboats, playing in bands Fate Marable and Dewey Jackson, uniénodse in 1922 the orchestra of Ed Allen. After moving to New York (1923), where he played with Sam Wooding, remaining with him until 1932. Then work with Fats Waller usually until well into the 1940, except in the period 1938-39, they joined the Big Band Don Redman. Then, on two occasions (1943 and 1946), he formed his own orchestra. Already in the 50, will be playing with Bobby Hackett and Mezzrow Mezz.
